Learn the Art of Glass Blowing
Few experiences compare to breathing life into hot glass, melting color into form, and shaping molten liquid into durable art.
Glass blowing is exciting! Students with no previous experience can learn the skills to explore their creativity and discover their artistic side. Experienced students use Portland’s hot shop to transform their ideas, designs, and techniques into art that expresses the full range of their creative ability.
Beginning 1
April dates are enrolling now.
Introduces students to hand-blown glass, building strong fundamental skills through the use of all tools. Projects include paperweights, cups, bowls, plates and vases.

I am a raving fan of Elements, Aaron, Ian, and all the teachers — glass blowing has become my creative outlet and my weekly therapy. From week to week, I am constantly amazed by what I learn and what I create.
The best part of going to Elements is the tremendous sense of community that I feel. There is no intimidation, only support. And there is a free flow of communication, providing both practical and artistic insights.
Becoming part of the Elements family has been both a blessing and a curse — I wish I could be there every day to work on glass. Unfortunately, I still have to work to pay my mortgage payment.
